MONTHLY VETERANS NEW'S LETTER
CITY OF
HURST
Preventing
the Opening of the
Veterans
Thrift Store
The City of Hurst Texas
Management wants to give our store a C/O for the sale of clothing and books
only, in a separate deal, that is in clear violation of their ordinance for
Thrift Stores openings in there city. Our
store receives a variety of donated items from all supporters of Veterans, and
to be limited to the sale of only 2 items is wrong and dishonorable to our
veterans who gave so much to this country.
This organization gives 100% Percent of all revenue collected from these
stores, which provides support to all Veterans and Their families by us doing
the following.
(1)
Providing
Housing Support to Veterans
(2)
Providing
Job Opportunities
(3)
Providing
Counseling for returning Veterans
(4)
Providing
Clothing, Food, and Monetary Assistants
This is what the City of Hurst is
stopping us from doing by preventing the opening of the Veterans Thrift
Store. Our goal is to open up 10 Stores
throughout the DFW area, and then an Outreach Center designed to support the
needs of thousands of veterans in North Texas and abroad.

Wal-Mart Excluded
A Non-Profit Organization That Supports Our Troops, Veterans and their families, Cancer Patients, and Low Income Families
Since 2007 The Family Outreach Coalition established them selves in Colorado Springs, Colorado in providing much needed services to our Men and Women in Uniform fighting for this country. It began its mission by providing much needed meals for 5000 troops returning from Iran, Iraq, at Fort Carson, under the leadership of its director, Phil Martinez of the USO his contact number (719) 201-6016. To Date they have raised over $300.000.00 in donations and support items to aide our troops, Low Income and Veteran Families. Wal-Mart has been the recipient of all the money raised by this organizations efforts.
Now this organization resides here in Arlington, and Pantego Texas where their mission continues where it left off in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
On August 18, 2012 the Family Outreach Coalition set their team up at the Super Wal-Mart in Arlington, tx (store #7284 off of US Highway 287) to collect donations to purchase Care Packages to help our fighting troops in afghanistan. One of its volunteers was a returning veteran from afghanistan, and he used his first amendment right to express his opinion about Wal-Mart to another Veteran volunteer; this was over heard by a Wal-Mart staff and within an hour the team was thrown off the site by Manager Bobby Joe.
The Founder was contacted about this issue and immediately tried to correct the issue at store level, but the Store Manager Bobby Joe when meeting with the Founder for the first time blow him off, by not greeting the Founder, and discussed the issue out loud in front of customers and employees about what happen, and if we tried to challedge her decision, we would be banned from working at Wal-Mart stores Indefinitely.
We later followed up with a letter to the Store Manager Bobby Joe, explaining our concern on how the Founder of the organization was treated, and that we wanted to contact her boss, Regional Marketing Director, David Mc Kenzie to share our thoughts on what happen with hopes of this never happening again.
We later found out that the Regional Marketing Director, gave order based up what was told to him by Wal-Marts manager, that we are Banned from soliciting donations at any of its stores that he manages.
We feel that this organization has attacked not just this founder of this organization, but all Veteran, Troops, and Americans seeking for Justice. This Marketing Director has never once sat down with the Founder of this organization to discuss this issue, but on the word of its Manager he Tried, Sentence, and Punished this organization and everyone that it serves.
We as Americans need to stand up for this little organization, when clearly its rights have been trampled on by a mighty monster. We fought, Bleed, and Died for this country as Veterans, and this is the last thing we need. Please support our efforts in fighting this Big Giant.
PLEASE DONATE IN SUPPORT OF OUR CAMPAIGN TO FIGHT THIS INJUSTICE
